Woke up at 4a.m. I got on the computer and answered e-mails. Instantly I got a slight headache. I went on a walk around the loop to see if that would clear up the headache but it didn’t. I got back and did breakfast prep.
BREAKFAST: watermelon and papaya
At breakfast Grant informed us that by lunch we needed to come up with our own multiple-choice question covering what we had already learned.
When breakfast was over I did clean up and sunbathed nude for a half hour. I monitored my faster. I decided that I needed to get some of my homework done and deal with my headache. I got on the computer and was able to get some homework done. I was on the computer for about a half hour and I couldn’t take it anymore. My head hurt so badly and my eyes were so sore I couldn’t even touch them. I was supposed to help out with a group project and I did help out for a short time but I started crying because my head hurt so intensely. I went to my room and lied down until it was time for lunch.
LUNCH: blended bananas, bananas and celery.
At lunch everyone presented their questions. My headache was worse than ever. I finished eating then went to my room and lied down again. I slept for 2 hours and just stayed in my room until it was time for dinner.
DINNER: fresh squeezed OJ blended with mango and sliced tomatoes.
My headache was a little better which was a relief. Everyone presented their questions. I am really enjoying the questions that everyone presents. They are fun to answer and I am learning so much from my peers J
At dinner I had an idea that sunglasses might help with my eyes and headaches, especially when I am on the computer. I have been turning my screen down to the darkest it will go, but it’s not quite dark enough. I asked if anyone had sunglasses I could borrow. Christie said she would be happy to let me use some that she had.
When dinner was over she went and got them for me. I got on the computer to see if they would help. They did help some, they didn’t take away the headache I still had, it just didn’t get any worse.
I went to bed around 8p.m.
My 40th Birthday.
I woke up at 5a.m. I checked my e-mail with the sunglasses on. I still got a slight headache, which I was kind of bummed about. I was hoping I would be headache free on my birthday, but I guess it’s just another day for my body. I left early for my walk. I wanted to go on a long walk. I walked for an hour and forty minutes and I enjoyed every minute. It was a beautiful morning and I wished I could have kept walking but I had to get back to do breakfast prep.
BREAKFAST: watermelon and papaya
After breakfast clean up, I got on the computer to do some homework and my headache came on in full force. I didn’t know how much more I could take of these headaches. I decided I couldn’t go without my prescription glasses anymore. I couldn’t take anymore headaches, I was at the end of my rope. I went to my room and put my prescription glasses back on. Everything was super intense and it made my headache even worse. I was dizzy and thought I would throw up. AHHHHHH!!!!! They were too strong for me. It is great that my eyesight is getting better but now I was definitely stuck in the middle. I didn’t want to continue getting headaches, but I couldn’t go back to wearing my glasses. I was feeling so frustrated.
I went and monitored my faster. Then the food delivery truck came and I helped unload the truck. There was so much food. It’s amazing how much food it takes to feed 10 fruitarians for a week.
After unloading the food I went and sunbathed nude for a while. Hoping my headache would start to ease up at least. Right before lunch I helped my group work on their project, but I wasn’t much help again. I felt really bad about that, but I was doing all I could.
LUNCH: Clarissa made me a birthday cake of sliced bananas layered with blended bananas poured over the top. It was really great!
Everyone sang happy birthday and we all got to feast on my cake. It was a perfect birthday cake, I love mono meals and I love mono meal birthday cakes even more.
When lunch was over Daniele sang for a while and then Doug did his lecture. He seemed to me like he was being really short with people and not in a very good mood. I didn’t want to deal with it, so I went to my room and lied down. I couldn’t fall asleep so I went next door and talked to the two ladies fasting there to see how they were doing. We had a great talk as always.
DINNER: fresh squeezed OJ blended with mango and sliced tomatoes
Clarissa had decorated the dining room and welcomed me to my birthday party. It was so nice. It would have been nicer if my headache was gone and we didn’t have to do class that night, but regardless I was very thankful to Clarissa for doing so much for me all day.
In the middle of dinner right before class Doug came up to me and handed me some pinhole glasses. They are dark glasses with a bunch of tiny holes in them. I put them on and I could see clearly. It was really cool. I had them on for about an hour and I felt my headache fade away. I was completely headache free! I was so happy about that. I thanked Doug and was feeling like maybe I was being extra sensitive earlier and that Doug wasn’t being short and rude to everyone after all. Maybe it was just me.
During the dinner class Doug definitely had something bothering him. He was behaving rudely and saying mean things to people. I felt that that kind of behavior was uncalled for and unnecessary. Despite Doug and his issues I did learn a lot in class. The class was about biological transmutation.
After dinner I got on the computer with the pinhole glasses to see how they would work. I didn’t get a headache! Woo hoo! I answered all my e-mails, read for a while and went to bed.
