Woke up this morning at 6 a.m. feeling really great and energetic. No voices, just a clear head and happy thoughts 🙂 Had no pain when urinating. Yay!!! No more urinary tract infection. The fasting worked! Which I was very happy about because I was hungry.
At 6:30 a.m. I went to the great room, built a fire in the fireplace and stretched with Danielle.
At 7 a.m. I helped prepare breakfast, which was an extra chore for the day. Clarissa who is in charge of the kitchen sprained her ankle really bad last night, so I volunteered to fill in for her until she was feeling better.
I was so happy to be eating again. Breakfast meeting was a presentation by Christie about vitamins A, K, E and D. I enjoyed learning how easy it is to get those vitamins from fruits and vegetables…other than D, which comes from sunlight..of course.
After breakfast I monitored my faster. He is doing really good. Looks great. I sat and talked with him for about an hour. We have known each other for 2 years now from health and fitness week. He is 50 years old and looks like he’s 30. He is also an amazing runner. It is great to talk to him, he is very open and fun to talk to.
It was my day to do laundry with my roommate. We had our laundry to do as well as the laundry for 2 of the fasters. I put in the first load, then went down by the river to take a swim. That river water is cold! It is also very clean and refreshing. After my quick dip I was laying naked in the sun..getting my vitamin D. There were other people around sun bathing, we are all very respectful of each others nudity. It feels so good to get sun on my entire body. especially the parts that rarely see the sun. Doug and Grant were weighing rocks and building a gym nearby. I was just laying there relaxing, loving the beautiful warm sunshine, when Doug calls my name. I sit up and he says, “Grant and I need your help lifting this rock. Don’t worry about being naked, it will just take a second.” I was entertained by the thought of how this would look to someone watching as I helped them lift the 212 lb. rock up onto a ledge before I went back to my sun bathing.
After my 20 minutes in the sun I switched the laundry and then went to help prepare lunch at 11 a.m. When I got there I was informed by Clarissa…as she hopped around…that I was in charge of doing food inventory for the day. Which meant counting the massive amount of banana’s in the banana bodega. I wasn’t sure how I would fit this in to my schedule for the day, but I would figure out how to do that.
LUNCH: Blended banana’s, banana’s and cucumbers.
Lunch was very yummy. The lunch meeting was a presentation by Clarissa about the reproductive system and the nervous system.
After lunch I hurried into the banana bodega and started counting. I missed the video and Danielle singing, it took me about a half hour to count 2,069 banana’s. I was glad to get it done. So many banana’s makes me happy 🙂
I made it just in time for the afternoon lecture. Which was about the law of tendency. I fell asleep and am not sure what the lecture was about…shhh…don’t tell Doug. I woke up when Doug was talking about drugs and what addiction is really about. It was very interesting and I was kind of bummed that I had slept through the first part. I will have to ask another one of the interns if they can give me a quick re-cap.
After the lecture I sat and talked with one of the fasters who is living in Sweden right, though he is originally from BC. His life is fascinating to me and I am glad we got a chance to talk.
DINNER: fresh squeezed oj with mango, tomato, cucumber, basil and hibiscus salad.
I was still feeling full from lunch and wasn’t very hungry. The oj was very tart. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it being so tart, but I couldn’t take it and only had one glass. I ate a couple bites of the salad and felt nauseous. So I took that as a sign to stop eating, which I promptly did. It took about 5 minutes for the nausea to pass and then I felt good again.
At the dinner meeting we shared at least 3 goals we had made for the year. I have about 20, but the 4 I chose to share were:
1. follow the 80/10/10 diet and continue to gain perfect health.
2. read 10 books about health, natural hygiene and mental well being
3. meditate daily
4. learn to speak Spanish fluently
I really enjoyed hearing everyone’s goals. It is such an amazing group of people up here that I am spending the next month and a half with. I feel so incredibly blessed 🙂
It’s now 8:45 p.m. and I plan to be in bed and asleep by 9 p.m.
